Do you see a pattern here?Now comes word that Halliburton has suffered because of the deals Dick Cheney made while he was in charge there. Seems he was great at opening doors, but showed questionable judgement when it came to negotiating. Based on the wonderful choices he's made as veep, who'd have ever guessed such a thing? |

Oh, I wouldn't be sure it didn't fool anyone. Many of those who read that paper, as well as much of Congress and most of the voting public are willing to be fooled.
The CEO of Halliburton just wrote a quarter page article in today's Wall Street Journal justifying their non-competitive-bid work in Iraq. He also tried to explain away the accusations this week of their gouging the government and overcharging them in various areas. It was pretty lame and didn't appear to fool anyone.
