Global Warming

Global Warming

Nuclear proliferation and large amounts of unsecured nuclear material may be two of the greatest threats to this country's security, but over the course of the next century global warming and its effects around the world and how the world's nations respond to those effects may pose a greater threat than all others combined.

The problem for politicians with this possiblity is that the nuclear problems require only that we tell other governmnents how to change their behavior and in some cases change the behavior at the highest levels of our government. To address the problem of global warming, our leaders need to convince all of us to change our behavior. With the exception of Dennis Kucinich, none of the Republican or Democratic presidential candidates this year have demonstrated the honesty or courage to even try to do this.
